I AM PROUD

Old movies I watch

Indians and cowboys.

Indians made to look ignorant.

The sadness I feel 
to see this and know,

others see this and believe 
their eyes,

not knowing the truth.

Spiritual, proud, 
and majestic....
they stood.

They wept, 
saddened by the injustice.

They lost everything,

 their land, 
their hearts, 
their identity.

They survived, 
I AM PROUD!
